Terms of service

These terms govern how your institution uses Classdesk, a platform for period attendance, eligibility tracking, timetables, and parent communication. By signing up or using Classdesk, your institution agrees to these terms.

An authorised representative of a school or college signs up on behalf of the institution. That institution is our customer and is responsible for the staff, student, and parent accounts it creates.

For a limited number of institutions accepted as build partners, a pilot of one term is free of charge. Moving to an annual plan afterwards is optional.

Setup and data migration are included at no extra charge.

Annual plans are billed once a year, in advance. We do not offer monthly plans.

Schools pay ₹99 per student per year, with a minimum of ₹25,000 a year. Colleges pay ₹99 per student per year, with a minimum of ₹50,000 a year.

GST is charged on top of these prices at the applicable rate.

Your institution owns all data it enters into Classdesk, including attendance, timetables, rosters, and messages. We process it only to run the service for you.

You can ask us for an export of your data at any time. When your account ends, we export your data on request and then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Use Classdesk only for your institution’s own academic and administrative work. Do not share login details, try to access another institution’s data, or send parents messages they have not agreed to receive.

Your plan covers the features available in Classdesk today. Features we describe as coming, such as marks and report cards, are not part of your plan until they ship.

We work to keep Classdesk available and accurate, but we provide the service as is. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees your institution paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

We may update these terms. We will tell your institution’s administrators about material changes and update the “Last updated” date above.
