Classdesk started in a staff room in Chennai, where a handful of teachers were losing entire evenings to attendance registers and Excel marksheets. We set out to build the operations tool we wished we had: calm, fast, and made for the realities of Indian campuses.

Who is Classdesk built for?
Indian schools with 500 or more students, and colleges that take attendance period by period across several departments. Roles are scoped to each department, and every change lands in an audit log.
What can we use today?
Attendance marked period by period, an eligibility signal for students below 75%, timetables with clash checks, leave requests, announcements, WhatsApp updates to parents, a parent and student portal, and subject documents.
Why is pricing annual, with a minimum?
Campus budgets are approved once a year, so we bill once a year, in advance, at ₹99 per student. The minimum is ₹25,000 for schools and ₹50,000 for colleges. It covers the setup, data migration and staff training every campus gets, whatever its size.
What does the pilot include?
For a limited number of campuses who sign up as build partners, the pilot is free: one term on one department. We set up your account, import your data and train your staff. In return, you give us regular feedback while we build. If you continue, you move to an annual plan at the prices above.
How do we move our existing data?
Send us your student and staff spreadsheets. Setup and migration are free. Our CSV import checks every row and shows what needs fixing before anything is saved, and an import can be undone.
Does attendance work on a weak connection?
Yes. If the network drops in the middle of a class, attendance is queued on the device and syncs as soon as the connection returns. Keep the attendance screen open until it shows as synced.
How do WhatsApp updates to parents work?
Messages go only to parent contacts who have opted in. Consent is recorded for each contact, so a parent who has not agreed never receives a message.
Do you have marks and report cards?
Not yet. Marks, marksheets and report cards are coming. Colleges that join now as design partners get them at no extra cost when they ship, and schools keep the same ₹99 per student price.
Who owns our data?
Your institution does. Each campus is kept separate from every other account, and you can ask us to export or delete your data at any time.
Are prices inclusive of GST?
No. Every price on this page is before GST, which is added to your invoice at the applicable rate.
